Description
Day two of my own personal 'How fast is your spaceship?' week of scifi nerdiness. Today, Star Trek...When I first left home, a friend lent me the entire run of Star Trek Next Gen and that was it, I was hooked (never had TV growing up and no movies... and been trying to make up for it ever since
Someone needs to create a new Star Trek series for TV I say!
Pencil, ink on paper, Paint in photoshop.

I wanted to wait to comment until I got rid of the scar tissue in my eye. Now I can really see all the wonderful nonsense, and not at all nonsense, you packed into this. Well done, Dave.

I think I see a gray Rubik's cube!
And I think we've found our winner, the fastest spaceship!

Sometimes you really gotta look close at these things!! Saw the comment about batteries... so I looked and found it. PLUS Pacman on the underside as well as the ghost monster and other images. Dishwasher safe, I think I saw a Rubik's cube fillin in for the Borg? I know, I know there's more... right?Β

Hehehe! Yes, that is a Borg Rubik's cube. There is also a 'This way up' sign near the side engine and the NTSC (old video format) under the ship. All the images in the series have little hidden easter eggs - I like to put extras that reward people who look closely

That is a great piece. I'm a big time TNG fan, also loved Deep Space 9 and Voyager. Took me a while because I watched the original series as a kid but I think TNG is way better.

Thanks Gil. I'm with you there! They recently released TNG as a remastered Bluray so I'm getting to enjoy the show all over again at the moment.

Its my favourite of the ST series!
As for Data's batteries, I think he recharges them at night... along with his communicator badge and his pet fish

Side NOTE:
The KISS between Capt. Kirk and the black lady, Lieutenant O'Hura, was
the FIRST KISS on TV between a WHITE and BLACK human ....

I keep saying IF I was elected PRESIDENT, I'd give out FREE BOOZE for a MONTH
so ALL could get SLOSHED and HOOK UP from ALL COLORS and we would end up
with NO 'RACE' issues as EVERYONE would be MIXED .... SMILES > ...

If i recall, Speed of Warp 1 = Speed of Light. Funny things happen when the ship reaching higher Warp Speed. Instead of Warp 2 = Double the Speed of Light, we got Warp 2 = 8 X Speed of Light. Warp 3 = 27 X Speed of Light, and so on.
