Happy Halloween!Illustration for an upcoming book from SQP and rather appropriate for Halloween.
Took much longer than I anticipated - obviously I wasn't drinking enough magic caffeine

Basic rule of thumb is the more pixels, the bigger you can do a quality print - you can always change the dpi in photoshop.
A4 @300dpi is approx 3500 pixels high, A3 @300dpi is approx 5000 pixels high - I usually like to paint 5000 pixels or larger which gives me the option for a big print if I ever want it - or a very high dpi smaller one. If its a commercial piece I usually discuss maximum required size and dpi with the client before I start. You probably know all this stuff, though, but I hope at least some of its helpful.
