Took much longer than I anticipated - obviously I wasn't drinking enough magic caffeine

How is this level of realism even possible? how many hours/days did this take?

Whole thing took me 70+ hours and heres a close up of some of the details [link] - you dont really get to see the brush work at the smaller scale. I tend to put a lot of hours into my paintings- I have one sitting around that I've spent around a month on and its still not finished.

It was nice to paint the feet for a change - most of the characters I do have boots or shoes on and I dont get to paint toes and feet as much as I'd like.

I'm slow at this point, but I just started with a Wacom a couple of years ago, and still paint mostly traditionally.
How do you know how many pixels to work at? I usually think in dpi, for print consideration.
