Description
RIP Uderzo. Time to put down the menhir, tie up Cacofonix and raise a roasted boar to celebrate the artistic genius behind Asterix and Obelix. Uderszo's comics were a huge part of my childhood and growing up and his amazing art still influences me today.Related content

Hey there Dave,
Sad to read the passing of a great artist such as Uderzo. It boggles my mind to think how much of the world his characters must have reached...how many laughs and smiles Asterix and Obelix have brought about (...and will continue to do so) all through the brilliant imaginations of A. Uderzo and R. Goscinny. (RIP)
Β Nice touch Dave, all the best to you

Oh nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Uderzo no more?
Man, Asterix comics were a massive inspiration to me! Although not hand-drawn, my comics are heavily influenced by Uderzo's Asterix comics! Such fun, so creative, and endlessly entertaining.
Excellent tribute Loops!

I loved the Asterix comics when I was in Elementary ( if only I saved those lovable books, I could had passed them on to my neice ) So sad when I knew the news of his passing; I'm sure there's a special place in Valhalla for a man like him
Thank you for sharing this submission; it's beautifully made!

Wonderful tribute.
Such a legendary comic created by true masters.
I love how I was able to enjoy them as a kid and then growing up to discover the different layers of humour and more adult subjects.
One of my (many) favourite scenes contained a lot of fondue!Β Β

Yup... I loved the comics as a kid and then found those different layers as I grew up too.
Asterix in Sweden is such a brilliant comic too (fondue!)

Having grown up on Franco-Belgian comics, I was gutted when I heard the news. Fantastic tribute though.
