I wanted to draw something to try and shake off this block and I had a potential new character with a basic enough design in mind, so this was the perfect opportunity to try and get past the problem. And I think she actually turned out pretty good.So this is Nightshade. She is, essentially, a living shadow. By that I mean that she breathes, feels and most importantly does not vanish in the light. She is however weakened by it, especially natural light sources.Β She has the ability to engulf artificial light sources and create an impenetrable blackness, but this sufficiently drains her and she only uses this power when she really needs to. She can manipulate shadows and is also able to pass through solid objects.Β
Hopefully now I can get to work on all the gifts and requests I have lined up...

I don't know really, an idea will pop into my head and then I'll play around with designs until the character looks right. A lot of the time I'll just scrap something though, because it doesn't come out right. I have hundreds of OCs that never made it to deviantART.Β Β

Ahhh, creepiness is good! She's like one of those creepy shadows in your bedroom that looks like a monster and keeps you awake all night out of fear. xD
I can totally see her stalking the Tower at night trying to scare the Titans...

Thank you! I have a bit of an obsession with the new Gradient tool in Paint.NET.Β Β But I wanted the eyes to stand out with the rest of her being so simply designed.
