Commission for of my evil/corrupted Princess Celestia (Magmare Sun) having defeated Princess Twilight Sparklebeen a long while since i last drew Magmare
While Nightmare Moon was egomaniacal and gloating, Magmare Sun seems curiously devoid of any emotion, save for a vague fascination with watching ponies burn alive.
idk how long it took to draw this but i went through a looooot of episodes of kitchen nightmares while working on it

I figure that since Celestia likes to do chessmaster/batman gambits on normal days, if she turns into a Magmore Sun or Solar Flare or whatever it's called, she would do sadistic tests on the ponies, like finding out how long it takes for a pony to die of dehydration or teleport some ponies into the heart of dragon lands just to see what the dragons would do to them.

The slightest tapping of hooves across the polished crystal floor caught the attention of Princess Twilight Sparkle. Her ear twitched, hearing the soft steps approaching her. She looked up from her reading and turned to greet her visitor. "Ah, yes, how may I--"
A lump formed in the mare's throat at the gruesome sight before her. A royal guard lay collapsed on the floor in front of her, light golden fur tarnished and ruined by the splashes of crimson adorning his coat. Burns and cuts decorated his figure and his strange phoenix-like wings appeared to be broken. His silver mane was tattered, and his vivid green eyes were wild and scared, unlike anything the purple alicorn had ever seen before.
"Sir! What happened?!" She shrieked, then called Spike for assistance. The purple dragon raced into the room with medical supplies and began working on the poor stallion. Twilight healed the more serious wounds and his wings, while Spike took care of the minor cuts.
After that was finished, she carefully sat the stallion on a pillow and offered him something to drink.
He shook his head. A weary look in his eyes, he cleared his throat.
"Your Highness--"
"Just Twilight is fine, good sir."
"My apologies, Princess Twilight."
The mare sighed. "Fair enough. Please...what happened?"
"Princess, I am sorry for you to have seen my like this. There is an emergency at Canterlot Castle." (To be continued)

celestia represents the sun, so I do not understand why her mane is made out of lava. (It should be plasma).

just because you believe it should be "plasma" doesn't mean lop should adjust their art accordingly. it is their art afterall, it's called being original and don't even think about being pathetic enough to turn around and say : " i was just sharing my opinion"

Because "Magmare" sounds cool, and because I hadn't seen anyne do a volcanic themed take on Celestia yet. I see no reason why her mane "should" be plasma, her current wavey sparkly pastel rainbow mane isn't particularly sun themed.

I actually agree and love to see new interpretations of the old and new characters.
One of these similar interpretations of Celestia happens to beΒ Discord versus Lightmare Sun Β from ziom05. He/she really did make a very good interpretation of his/her own nightmare Celestia.
I would like to see your own interpretation of Nightmare Twilight and Nightmare Cadence (or how they love to call her Dark Romance- never really saw why..) Might even consider giving them new names for their dark alter ego's?
