Commission for of my evil/corrupted Princess Celestia (Magmare Sun) having defeated Princess Twilight Sparklebeen a long while since i last drew Magmare
While Nightmare Moon was egomaniacal and gloating, Magmare Sun seems curiously devoid of any emotion, save for a vague fascination with watching ponies burn alive.
idk how long it took to draw this but i went through a looooot of episodes of kitchen nightmares while working on it

Magmare seems much more deadly and destructive than nightmare moon. Something about BURNING PEOPLE TO DEATH seems worse than, I dunno, just making it dark outside.

Likely yeah. I mean, she controls the sun and she's likely as burning hot and could melt anything around her. I even bet she has a move similar to a Supernova where she blasts a huge amount of magical sun energy all around that annihilates pretty much anything in a huge radius.

Thing is... ultimately, I see Twilight beating literally any "nightmare" incarnation that utilizes Magic once "fully" ascended as an Alicorn... primarily because I would imagine, as the Element and Alicorn of Magic, she would (should?) eventually develop absolute control over Magic (at least within a certain area of herself); not to the point that she could strip another of it (ala Avatar The Last Airbender) but rather that any magic-based attack launched at her, she could simply dispel long before it struck home.
Beyond that little nitpick of mine - epic piece! I'd love to see a follow-up (maybe even a "good ending" one? I could totally see Rainbow powered Rainbow Dash ramming Magmare at double-rainboom velocities)
