Hey yeah I'm still working on thisHe can move half his body
there was a serious issue with his front arm though I had to edit the model itself to have it move properly with out it pulling the chest plates with it and breaking
but other then mirroring issues it's going good
The wings have bones for all the individual little fingers so it's more articulate , I really hate that some dragon models have just THREE bones in the wing just to open and close it....it's...no... thats a no-no... don't do that
I'm ALWAYS up for suggestions please don't leave me in the dark if you have an idea or want to see something specific in the model (Cause the last thing I want are a bunch of pissy people crowding my page)

omg I really hope this model is for gmod I mean I already have the cynder model from the 3rd TLOS game as well as the original spyro so I'm looking forward to it and many other characters from all 3 of TLOS games.

Gmod may be a problem to port this model into as we don't know how different it's coding is compared to sfm's

Use Blender Source Tools for compile to SMD.
Create QC file. If you have trouble, you can read Valve instruction.

But it isn't so much as making the QC code
It's putting items in the correct folders
A model for SFM is all ready to be put into GMod the thing is that files need to be moved

I love how much passion you have for this-- I FEEL YOU on the wing thing.
The Toothless model we have on the workshop pisses me off so much... the wings are so flat and lifeless.

Haha Hey I'm glad more people are wanting this model done
As of right now I'm taking a break on it because the mesh is awfully weird around the arms and rigging the front arms like they are is going to be glitchy so I'm going to see about reworking the mesh there so that the arms can be more flexibleΒ
But don't worry I won't quit on it
theres been a lot of people who were making good spyro models until they disappeared entirely or just quit because they didn't like spyro anymore

This model will be entirely open for anyone to use for Source FilmMaker and or Garry's mod when it is completed
I saw how there was NO good spyro models for the SFM/Gmod community...that were sfw at least ono...So I decided to take it upon myself to try to port full working TLOS models

I'm trying to get all the models I can
I really need to get models of the guardians from the TNB/ET Spyro games fully textured
but the ones I got where broken and if I want to texture them I'd have to put every single vertex to the UV and that would take foreverΒ

yea the guardian models havent bin exported that well,
a lot of the normals/faces are flipped so the texture will look strange and some of the vertices miss faces, so there like holes in there.
it will take a lot of effort and time to get these looking good, but once its done it will look awesome.
i might take a look at them later, i might be able to fix them.

What I really suggest doing is an IK rig for his wings, it will make animation for you 1000x easier, and will help give it a much more natural flow. Did you do an IK rig for his legs too?

But the program I'm going to put the model in has some kind of coding where there is an option to "change" the rigging to something similar to IK rigging

Yes I am using it in Gmod and SFM
I have no clue how to make it a player model as the Garrys mod player models use a standard IK biped rig and if I use that rig on Spyro its going to look very weird

That's a shame. There is only one spyro player model I know of on gmod, and it's of classic spyro.
But still, I'm sure to use this model when it comes out :3

Yeah I had that model
It's a little iffy but it's not too bad
If I could I would make this Spyro into a player model and make my own animations that aren't broken (So no floating guns or stiff wings)
but I don't know how to incorporate that into the standard IK biped rig Gmod uses so I'll have to do a little reasearch
I don't know about you...but I wouldn't want to play as a two legged Spyro
It'd look kinda weird...especially how the model is shaped

Yeah, I'm not too fond the idea 'two legged spyro'. At least not for the legend series. I know that older dragons from the classics stood on two legs but that's not really important
I've seen maybe one or two people manage a quadruped model that doesn't look broken, but I have no idea how it's done...
I would use the hell outta that hunter model.
