Description
The BR85 Heavy Barrel Service Rifle (BR85HB SR) is a UNSC weapon from the Halo Universe. I had the pleasure of modeling and texturing this prop for Halo 2 Anniversary cinematics by Blur Studio.Modeling in Maya, texturing in MARI, Photoshop and Quixel Suite. Special thanks to Jerome Denjean for supervision.
This is a personal version of the rifle that has not been used in the cinematics and does not depict the final official approved model.
Shading and rendering in 3ds Max and V-Ray.

That magazine is much skinnier than I thought it would be and the rounds are also much smaller than I expected. Is that accurate to canon or was it just done for convenience during modeling?

Magazine and ammos might not be 100% accurate, they were not supposed to be seen in the cinematics. Anyway the proportions of the rifle follow those of the original in-game model, so in general they are 99% accurate.

I don't know if they are standard to a faction in the HALOverse, I've never played it.
But the colors make me think that this one has been taken and repainted by Cerberus from the Mass Effect verse.

No, yeah, I know the design is HALO, ... I've seen enough people build them to recognize it.
