Who said it was a good idea to teach fire magic in a flicking library? Nyssa was getting the hang of the feeling of fire magic - though it didn't come naturally to her like water did, she was discovering that it wasn't hard to actually do it, just took a lot of effort to properly control - but she got distracted for one second and - well.

"WATER. HOSPITAL. NOW."

Luckily, someone else had foreseen that perhaps having so much fire controlled by beginners so close to books wasn't a good idea, and there were some buckets of water lying around. Someone was able to put Nyssa's hand out pretty quick while she was trying to manipulate the fire off of herself, and though it stung quite a lot, when she went to Dr. F to get it treated he told her that it wouldn't leave a long-lasting mark. "Just have to make sure to be careful for the rest of class, now. And change your bandages and apply ointment regularly, or it might get infected."

Of course she was back in class the next day, even though her mom kept asking if she was alright. She would make sure her wound was taken care of, because if she didn't, she knew she ran the risk of getting scolded by Tabbris. That would be worse than any infection, honestly. She almost never got scolded by her, so when she did it made her feel bad. She'd just have to be careful, like Dr. F said, that she didn't agitate the wound further.
