I love the energy of this shot....quirkiness and humor are two of my favorite things to capture or create in photos....The technical details of this shot were fun....I couldn't have done it without Greg, my studio manager and umbrella model, Kristen, the other model and Justin, my assistant....
High production can be so much fun!!!! ...but it can also be a serious pain in the ass.

BUt, the poses and movement are both so great.

i have similar images arise in my head sometimes but simply cannot execute it to make it look the same as those pictures in my head due to lack of technical skills set and maybe inability to get good models..

Very interesting picture, the composition and subjects of the photo look very good. However, when I look at this I can tell that a flash was used because it creates a slight lightwell.

For some reason the moment I saw this picture I thought "Mary Poppins." Which isn't a bad thing though. It has a strong sense of uncontrollable pull, as if the breeze is enchanted. Very beautiful, but also very entertaining and amusing to look at.

cool, I'm guessing they're on the ground cause only a few shadows are created. If that's the case, I don't see why everyone's complaining about the harsh lighting since ya can't take it at another angle... Did it look funky with diffused?
oh, and it looks like Mary freakin Poppins for the 100th time, even though the only thing that relates is the umbrella. I think since he's not holding on to it, she's lifting him up to catch the runaway umbrella.

Great execution on this shot. The timing also, to have the arms of the man and woman create a perfect line, is impeccable. This is a fun, happy shot. It reminds me of an old film where everyone is happy, no matter if it is umbrella weather or bright sunshine.
