Description
I love the energy of this shot....quirkiness and humor are two of my favorite things to capture or create in photos....The technical details of this shot were fun....I couldn't have done it without Greg, my studio manager and umbrella model, Kristen, the other model and Justin, my assistant....
High production can be so much fun!!!! ...but it can also be a serious pain in the ass.

I like it, but something about the fact that her stomach is showing irks me. I don't know why!! I feel like the shot is conservative and that is a minor detail that doesn't seem to fit! That and the fact that the people aren't creating shadows... but other than that I like it a lot!

the harsh lighting make it so much more fun .. gives it that feel of a un planned shot .. .well done

pretty kool, but to me its kinda dry, like if the umbrella would be red or, some other color (blue) then i think it would be even cooler, but maybe it would take away from your idea
either way, thumbs up

I love the line that runs through from umbrella to out stretched toe. Looking so natural, yet we know your eye and planning put it there. Congrats on a great piece!

that's really great, looks technically challenging yeah, especially depending on how much post work was done. The halo is alittle heavy from the burn/dodge though, especially around the umbrella. A good path tool selection would help that if you're willing to photoshop.

High production is the furthest thing from my bag, but lordy lordy is this a fine shot!
I absolutely love the idea, and your capture and compisition is wonderful. Definitly a +fav on my lil' ol' list.

Yeah, I'll ask too, how'd you do it? Did you manip out a ledge (I don't think so, his feet look free floating) Is he actually lying on the ground? Is that background flat?! Harness? Do tell!
