Description
Edit: Updated this tutorial since it was so noob before xD. It's also explained easier and doesn't waste time showing you how to put a base into MS Paint lol. Also, I do know about the 're-coloring with eraser' trick, but I've used it and this way is ALOT easier for recoloring a whole pony. If you know how to do the eraser re-color trick, I suggest you use that when it's only a small section so you can just pick the colors and whoosh over it faster then cutting and pasting. But when it's a whole picture that you have to practically draw over, it's faster to just cut and paste it.
If you don't know the eraser recoloring trick, it's almost the same as this trick but rather you make the original color the first color and the color you want as the second color. Somehow this tells the eraser to only erase (draw with color 2) on parts that are color 1 when you right click.
I made this tutorial because someone asked how I colored in SelenaEde 's bases when you can't fill in the outlines easily. So, here's a tutorial demonstrating my technique!

...or you could just make color one the color you want to replace the "single lines" color with, use the eraser tool, hold right click and put the mouse over the body and you're done. it takes less effort.

I've never thought of using it that way. XD
I usually just use the 'Transparent selection' to take a specific part from the pony(eye, mouth, etc.) and take it out of the main body.Β
What a clever way to use it. ^^

Make sure under the Selection Tool you've enabled Transparent Selection, the colors are in the right order (color 1 being the new color and color 2 being the base color), and that you fill the box it leaves with the new color before you paste it.

Okay, thank you so much!
It's so helping me to use bases that are thick lined, but have parts that you need to drag to them. Why can't they just put the parts as optional on the body? XD

What do you mean it helps you drag optional parts toΒ the body? How does it help with that? o-o
