This is a cool piece. I wonder about technique though. It was done in marker? If so how on earth did you get that fade on the right side (our left) of his collar. As I keep looking I wonder if it is brush and marker? I really dig his facial features.

You just made up the shapes or got them from a blog?

I actually made up a bunch of random shapes for an art thread I host in the COMMUNITY section of PENCILJACK's forum, called SHAPESHIFTER. I go by the handle of "Bruce Lee" on Penciljack, and I've been on that board since 2001. ShapeShifter is a new concept sketch group that I created, designed to stimulate creativity, and improve layout skills. So far though, participation isn't what I'd hoped, but maybe it'll pick up soon. Here are links to the first two SHAPESHIFTER threads. I invite you, or anyone else to participate!
