Well... I've been getting alot of questions about why I haven't been adding any new art to my gallery lately. Well here's the skinny...On Wednesday, June 16th, 2004, at about 7am in the morning, I was at work and had a 50 pound beam fall on my foot, crushing my big toe... yeah... BIG TOE. So... since then they've had me on these really nice happy pills that don't really take the pain away but make me not really care that I'm in any pain at all.
One of the side effects of the pills... I have lost any creativety and can hardly focus... the picture you see above is what happened tonight... the nail fell off... and GOOOODDDDDDDDDDDDDD it looks gross!
But I figured I would share it all with you anyway. (Yes... that's the nail to the right... came off in one complete section). Doc says I will be off my feet for 6 weeks... and at least Workman's Comp will be paying me for the time I'm outta work. But with all this free time and wanting to do something creative and can't I'm frustrated as hell.
So... let's here all the ewwwwwwwwws and yucks out there!

that same thing happen to me when i wuz little i wuz impatient so i started to peel an apple with a sharp knife and and i cut off my thumb nail and it wuz lying on the floor i wuz screaming like heck but urs is so much worse

It's probably not very noticable, but the tip of the metetarsal bone in the big toe should be visible now that the nail is gone, though you can't see it because it's covered by muscle, that would just be too gross.

When i used to be in soccer someone stepped on my toe just right and it ended up swelling up to like 2 or 3 times it's normal size. so they decided to burn a hole through my toe with this hot wire thing to let the pressure out (don't ever let a doctor who thinks you should just go home and rest come at your with a hot wire poking thing, he went through the nail and into my toe with it). my toenail came off too, looked kinda like that, horrible memories.

I am sorry about your foot. I hope everything comes out alright at the end of this 6 week period. I know that foot injuries can be the worst.

okay first of all FRICKING OUCHY second sorry to hear from you under these conditions (not the toe, the creativity lack) i kno how frustrating that can be ... maybe the happy pills will help you become a modern artist... since youd ont care about anything maybe you can mke some neat scribbles that look kewl lol. n e way i hope that thing clears up ... like seriously ... soon

Yeah... I hope it starts feeling better soon... Gotta wear this big ugly medical blue-green velcro open toed boot thing whenever I go anywhere... I hate that thing! Kinda makes me feel like Big Foot!

I shoulda taken a pic of the black swollen stage... it swelled up to about the size of a grapefruit. Ever see that movie Big Trouble in Little China when the guy at the end of the movie blew up like a balloon and his feet broke thru his shoes? That's kinda how my foot looked. Then the whole thing turned black... kinda like the black foot on Mr. Deeds. but what was really gross was the pus stage... I had to drain it at least 3 times a day... filled up an entire paper towel with all the gross foul smelling fluids that seeped out. But hey... the pills are keeping me from cutting the damn thing off! LOL
