Description So, I hated the Ugly Green used in both Vista and Xp taskmanager. Not that it is often used, but it is just plain ugly! So I have fixed that!

I love Blue, themes and just the color in general, So here you Have it A Blue TaskManager.

Instructions Included on replacement of file.

Enjoy

So you want x64 windows 7 then right? Maybe I should wait till final/RTM is publicly available then do it?

why update?

what do you want to improve?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

lsdmeasap In reply to Asmodiel [2009-03-27 07:26:16 +0000 UTC]

Ahh well I mean make X64 ones, and update them to SP1 and SP2 files eventually once it is final. And I have had a few requests for other colors for both the XP and Vista ones.

I am just always so busy, and even when I do have some time (It takes a while) I forget to do them

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Asmodiel In reply to lsdmeasap [2009-03-27 17:03:06 +0000 UTC]

ah well

I also use x64 vista... well i could give you my old file if you like - and i could be your "Betatester"

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

lsdmeasap In reply to Asmodiel [2009-03-31 18:14:25 +0000 UTC]

Well I have all the files I need, thanks! I use Vmware so I have any Vista files I may need.

Beta Tester eh, well I really do all that myself as I am making it. It is just 20 or so HEX Edits, testing as you go to make sure the correct color change it made and then the files are done, so no test really need to be done.

Once I get some free time I will let you know when I get started on the updates. Any clue when Vista SP2 should be out?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Asmodiel In reply to lsdmeasap [2009-03-31 22:48:04 +0000 UTC]

not at all @ SP2

But it's a cool insight on how such things are done

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

lsdmeasap In reply to Asmodiel [2009-04-07 11:52:04 +0000 UTC]

I could make a video sometime of how it is done if you would like? Maybe when I get time here soon I will

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Asmodiel In reply to lsdmeasap [2009-04-07 15:26:52 +0000 UTC]

well when you say "hex-editor", I know, what you mean, so you don't need to do it personally for me, but maybe other users would like to use it and change it ... to whatever colour they like

Haha, I see what you mean about taking time, I have noticed that some of the color codes I find in the hex program, actually aren't related to the color of the graph lines, so if you change it to another color code, it wont actually change anything in the taskmanager, while changing another color code in the hex program actually changes one of the greens to blue! So if you come across one of those color codes that dont actually change anything, you have to change it back to what it was before you edited it, and then move on to another instance of the color code. Frustrating!
