This tribute comprises of the main professional racer and star Speed Racer / Gō Mifune. his younger brother Spritle Racer / Kurio Mifune and pet chimpanzee Chim-Chim. In addition, Speed’s father Pops Racer / Daisuke Mifune, his mother Mom Racer / Aya Mifune, girlfriend Trixie / Michi Shimura, and friend mechanic Sparky/Sabu. Lastly, the famous car itself, the Mach 5.

The original Speed Racer is one of those series that if you watch it, you remember it in some way. From the unforgettable theme song and series music (truly earworms even today), the characters, (dub for the rapid speaking voice acting), or the Mach 5 itself or plots (like Racer X), it remains a true influential classic.
