Alternate History: Soviet Eurasia (They almost had it.)The Soviets take all of Eurasia, a large part of Africa, and unite it all under one Government. All nations become Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republics under the control of Moscow. The Soviet's only rival is The United States of America which stands with no real allies. How can the capitalists or anyone dare to challenge the great Soviet Union. It's The Worker's Paradise! The Worker's Paradise that needs to build walls, put up barb wire fences, and keep soldiers with guns on it's border to keep the workers in.

Britain Falls, Japan doesnt attack America and focuses on China. Germany attacks Russia, but the sheer scale, Hitlers stratgetic/tactical blundering, the prescence of T-34-74s and KV-1s slow the germans down enough for the Russians to go into full scale production of the T-34 line of tanks, and history just spins it self from there...

Not really the Russians would have to fight across all the way across Europe to "liberate" it. It would of been the same with Japan...

They could have done so, but holding onto all of it permanently in the West, where populations are not so susceptible to authoritarian undermining, would be a complete drain on resources. Holding the British Isles alone would divert any attention from north Africa.
