Description “The next day appears before us, already, we’ve been through 39 passages. Making this our 40th. Species number 40 is the Explosims.”
“Explosims; [Ik-sploh-simz]”
“Explosims are interesting folk, summarized as walking explosives, the species as interesting history. Moreover, Explosims are incredibly interesting biologically, as it's hard to understand their inner mechanics at first glance. Although their physical appearance can vary, Explosims still function the same. No matter the variant, an Explosim has the capabilities to explode, hence the name. Inside of its body, an Explosim is filled with the compounds and mechanics necessary to combust, like Scyphozoa the methods on how they function is confusing and are undergoing further analysis. Moreover, their exact origin is still under analysis as well, it is assumed that Explosims are artificial, similar to Automatrons and have a Human creator. However, two facts dispute this, no records exist regarding a Human creation like an Explosim. Secondly, Explosims have a method of reproduction, which complicates things greatly.”

“Rounded; [Roun-did]”
“The most common Explosim to exist, the Rounded Explosims aren’t bound to a single set of locations, they can be found relatively anywhere. Rounded Explosims have an average lifespan of 88 years, reaching adulthood at 16 years. Their average height is 6 feet and 8 inches or 2.03 meters. Physically, Rounded Explosims are broad and bulky in build. Moreover, Rounded Explosims are gunpowder based, filled with the stuff in their bodies, flowing like blood. Although Explosims are known to vary physically and appearance wise, Rounded Explosims are the most consistent, having a rounded head, taking after their respective explosives. Magic wise, Rounded Explosims have an affinity for Inferna and Galern Magic. Boasting great strength, their detonations will often expel shrapnel from their bodies. Additionally they are regarded to have the second largest blast of the Explosims, easily propelling nearby objects outward. Socially, they are soloists, rarely seen in groups of other Explosims. Rounded Explosims are known for their spunky attitude and extroverted disposition , the presence of one can easily liven up a location. Although indifferent to most races, Rounded Explosims like the presence of Humans, furthering theories of the two having a relation with each other.”

“Stick; [Stik]”
“The second most common of the Explosims, Stick Explosims are similar to Rounded Explosims in that they have no specific location that they are found in. Stick Explosims have an average lifespan of 60 years, reaching adulthood at 15 years. Additionally, Stick Explosims have an average height of 7 feet or 2.13 meters. Physically, Stick Explosims are much lankier than other Explosims, the thinnest of the species. Moreover, the Stick Explosims is nitroglycerin based. Although not the strongest, physically and in explosive blast, Stick Explosims are the most in  control of their detonation. Stick Explosims have an affinity with Inferna and Terra Magic. Socially, this variant enjoys being in groups, typically in cliques of 4 or more. Aside from that, they are relatively introverted when in the presence of other species, even other Explosims. They are indifferent to most species.”

“Flame; [Fleym]”
“A walking fire hazard, the Flame Explosim will make its home in controlled environments, away from most foliage. It is even seen in volcanic and Fire biomes. Flame Explosims have an average lifespan of 70 years, maturing at 16. Moreover, they have an average height of 6 feet and 2 inches or 1.88 meters. Flame Explosims are unique, as they are a gel-like species. As such there are many variations on their exact build structure and material components. One thing is certain, Flame Explosims are powerful, in place of their blast power, this variant has a devastating after effect. Their entire body and gel is extremely flammable, capable of sticking in most any surface, even allowing water to catch fire. Fittingly, Flame Explosims are incredibly skilled in Inferna Magic. However, in stride with their strengths, Flame Explosims are incredibly bad at controlling their explosive properties, from detonating under pressure to leaving trails of their gel wherever they go, this variant is a dangerous hazard to most civilizations. Socially, Flame Explosims are considerably timid and nervous, avoid direct contact with anything living.”

“Nuclear; [Noo-klee-er]”
“Both the rarest and strongest Explosims to exist. No recorded location is responsible for their appearance. Although ridiculously rare, they have a record average lifespan and height. They can live to be 65 years old and reach adulthood at 16, they have an average height of 8 feet or 2.44 meters. Now although these variants are ridiculously rare, I managed to secure the following information through...underhanded means, but it’s all in the name of knowledge I assure you. Now Nuclear Explosims are depicted having broad builds, which is relatively normal, but what is odd is the mention of radiation surrounding this variant. Their innards are made of a combination of materials, most notable are concrete and lead. However it also lists a material unknown in my records, it apparently is exceptionally powerful. No current listings of its magic affinities are present. Some notable things I found in this record is how Nuclear Explosims must be cooled regularly, however natural sources of water are restricted. Combined with the notion that they have to be accompanied with several security officials makes it seem like this intel was gathered in a lab. Little, to no, social behaviors are listed, the only of note is the strange attraction and fascination it has with any life it is exposed to. The document does state that only three Nuclear Explosims exist, and it makes a point to mention the apocalyptic scenario possible if one were to escape or detonate. This source certainly is odd, but it’s the only one available that would detail its existence.”

“Explosims suffer some prejudice from other races, as others fear that an Explosim can detonate  at any time. This is nothing more than meaningless superstition, as an Explosim not only has complete control over its explosive capabilities, but Explosims have little reason to detonate in the first place. As a complete detonation would kill them, Explosims only detonate certain parts of their body at a time, at most its one limb. As they still require mobility and a point of regeneration. I might be going off of a limb here, but something doesn’t sit right with me, there is something odd about Explosims.”
