a month haha, but it was good exercise.. the more robots i make the faster i get,... not only do you build the parts faster.. but you can also reuse parts from older robots

well actually I have a beretta bb gun.. so I used that as the referance. This image took a month to complete. the model of the gun took 3 days, the case and money took probably half a day. and the rendering/ textureing took like 3 and a bit weeks.. It took this long because I was trying to match a photo of the 3 items that I took in a photography studio.

Well your efforts paid off. Clearly. this is the most thoroughly realized mech concept and rendering I have ever seen... in movies, in game in art, in well; anywhere. So 'practical it just begs to be built. Though for the sake of the species I hope not too soon. Profound.

I too loved the design of the original but MAN what a great job rendering it 3d. The choice of making him him use those arms to carry/ manipulate that crate gives the image a great story quality. Makes Transformers look a bit daft as a movie really.
