Software used: ApophysisSomething pretty for no reason... It takes me to another dimension of dreams and fantastic adventures.
Loosely based on splits/elliptic and ~C-91 is to blame for the glitter

I made the focus/blur with depth blur tool in Apophysis, it simulates the depth blur as if I was taking a photo. I like how it adds the 3D feel to the image but just a moment ago somebody had criticised how it's all awfully blurry

This fractal is mostly based on heart shapes and that's one beautiful fractal that I'd love to see today. The fractal is like a fire ranging in different temperatures from blue to orange. It's like a burning heart theme, with small heart shapes that I can see. It's like a nebula of stars, with red and yellow stars. The sun is a yellow star and I can see many stars in this beautiful fractal. The curls have an impression and the repetitive designs are very beautiful. Unfortunately I deal a lot with art thefts so I've been forced to upload smaller pictures that make it almost impossible to misuse them.
Although I've been thinking about uploading 1200x1200 square pictures because 900x900 is really small :/

If you are dealt with art thefts, you need to put some DeviantArt watermark there. But it will block part of the art.

Yeah a while ago I found out through google reverse image search that 3 of my images were used as a cover of some chinese books! Seems that low resolution is no big deal for these people. (By "these people" I mean thieves, not Chinese!)
I really dislike DA watermark. It is big and very distracting. And I really want my watchers to enjoy the images I share... One can always choose between sharing images (in more or less enjoyable form) and risk getting them stolen... or let the images rot on the harddisc. Well, I choose less enjoyable resolution and sharing

Although it certainly is a nice piece of work, I must say I would not give it 5 stars for all categories like the "critiques" do. I would not rate them unfair, but I do think they are not very thoughtful.

I don't feel like I have the expertise to write a good critique, but I agree with these points you mentioned, and it is good you have some healthy self-critique.
Of course this does not take away the fact that you are an amazing artist
I would say, the contrast with the upper stars is rather high, the specks stand out too much. And on the left side of the purple bow up left, there is a purple haze.
Of course, these things are subjective, and you may like them the way they are. I kinda feel arrogant for criticizing an artist who is so much better than me

To be honest, I think I have waaay too much of self-critique and result of that is that I upload about 3 artworks per month to DA, mostly less... actually 1 out of 20 fractals I create ends up on DA

And don't feel bad about the criticism, you work with the same media, so your criticism is completely valid.
By the way, I had to decline a critique once (you can choose to accept or decline when it appears in your inbox) because it was done by a person who obviously didn't know anything about fractal art and bluntly criticised my "drawing technique"

Wow, looks like a nebula! Rich in color and very vibrant. Looks so organic and flowing. Reminds me of hints of Las Vegas, royalty, india, space and time mixed with cosmic energy. Elegant and refined and yet unsettled as if continuing to grow and morph.
