It certainly helped me, so thanks a bunch.
I noticed with the wings though... if you space out the "fingers" so that there is one in the crook in between what I guess is the wrist (where the thumb comes out) and the arm, so it is pointing down, then move draw the membrane in a curve going up in a shallow dip, then round and down like a c, ending up behind the "shoulder" it looks OK.
I mean, that works, but more traditional dragons have wings like I just described in a not very good way.
Um.

Though this is more or less correct, it should really depend on the breed on certain degrees of anatomical exaggerations. Good tutorial for the newer artist to dragons.

Hmm, do you have any tips for an other perspective of the wings and head? Most of the time, while trying new poses, my drawing kinda get into failure.

Well take exemple on your own arm for the wing then imagine your fingers are waaaayyyy longer, and that's it

Maybe a weird question, but this kinda works for all poses?

Lucie-P In reply to DimensionDrawer [2011-08-26 17:33:47 +0000 UTC]
Approximately... but the "hand" part is not naturally in the same pose, related to the arm, than humans... herr, I don't know how to explain this, it's a bit confusing

This outta be helpful for quite a few people.
I've always love the triangular form of dragon heads. It makes them look so much more ferocious.
I still have a bit of trouble with wings, Hnngh. >_<
