Have to note that the propatagium (the "extra" sail between the wrist and the shoulder) is /not/ optional. It serves to give the wing its aerodynamic shape, generates a lot of lift, and, at least in birds, houses the ligament that holds the wing fixed when it's fully open. cdn.tutsplus.com/vector/uploadβ¦
Yeah, this is a made up creature, it's not supposed to be realistic yada yada, but just FYI.

I love when I find a person with a similar dragon drawing style as me!! <3
(This was very helpful!! I was trying to find a new way to connect the wings and the body.)

This is a fantastic quick tutorial! Thank you! It makes me curious about how they'd work with horses (like demon pegasus)

Thank you so much
It would take some engineering because a horse body doesn't have a tail to steer it in the air realistically. I'd suggest thinking through some of Earth's flying or gliding creatures to figure out how it can be done.

Lol I get the most favorites on these tutorials. XD I've debated on either remaking them into one tutorial or deleting them all.

I don't mind at all ^^ It's why I made it.
Looking real nice Next thing I'd suggest is looking into the muscle groups of arms/legs. Lots of scale work takes patience, keep it up

Thanks for making this tut. I always have great ideas for wings, but, whenever I go to put them on paper it's like they don't come out right.. if you know what I mean! XD

I do know what you mean, and looking off of birds and bat have really helped me out a lot. This is more of just my interpretation of nature ^^ Keep working at it and it'll turn out right.
