Sandy replies that while it can't be denied that she's suffered a fair number of mishaps in Bikini Bottom, she'd rather not leave because life without her new undersea friends is impossible for her to imagine and following the logic of leaving a place just because of a few unpleasant events would leave her with nowhere else to go (also, because Treedome Enterprises is paying her a good sum of money to continue her experiments and research here).
