The evil wizard Iniznam Niatpac and his ugly minion Toadblood have entered the universe of the Garbage Pail Kids cartoon, where the Kids have all become adults now, in hopes of recruiting enemies of the animated Kids to help him defeat the Garbage Pail Kids of his own dimension.

Unfortunately, a miscalculation has resulted in the insane sorcerer and his misshapen goon landing smack dab in the house of Split Kit and Patty Putty. While Patty is busy tending to their toddler son Patrick, Split Kit makes it clear to Iniznam and Toadblood that they are not welcome here and that he'll cause them serious harm if they don't explain what they're doing here this instant.

Iniznam explains his evil plan, while Toadblood swears that he's only doing the wizard's bidding because he had been threatened. Split Kit appears to not take the villains seriously, certain that none of the cartoon Garbage Pailers' enemies would be of any help to Iniznam.

When Kit mentions the Funbusters, this entices the wizard to ask about their current whereabouts. Iniznam is then told that the Funbusters are probably still at their hideout at the mattress factory, but have likely not aged well. Iniznam then proceeds to run off while gloating that all the Garbage Pail Kids in existence will meet their end, while Toadblood promises to try and talk his boss out of his plan.

It is at this point that Kit and Patty's teenage daughter Charlene gets home. Split Kit brings his girl up to speed on what happened, while Patty carries an exuberant Patrick in her arms and informs her husband that he can't just let Iniznam and Toadblood get away with what they plan to do. Kit assures his wife that he can't be too careful and prepares to call their friends Elliot Mess, Clogged Duane, and Terri Cloth.
