Made with DeviantArt muroThe other day, I watched the much dreaded crossover between Teen Titans Go and the 2016 Powerpuff Girls series. Some of you may recall that a while back I made a picture of the Powerpuff Girls calling out the fans for assuming the worst from this crossover just because Teen Titans Go and the 2016 PPG show weren't well regarded. I knew and understood why the two shows weren't everyone's cup of tea, but I'm one of the fans who actually likes the new Powerpuff Girls show (and this is coming from a guy who grew up with the original show) and I was optimistic that the episode would be one of Teen Titans Go's better moments.
Having finally seen the crossover, the episode didn't quite meet my expectations, but it was definitely a lot better than everyone thought it would be. For starters, while it's a crossover with the 2016 Powerpuff Girls show, Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup, Mojo Jojo, and the Narrator act more like the way they did in the original Powerpuff Girls show. Also, unlike "Let's Get Serious", "The Return of Slade", and "The Fourth Wall", the episode actually acknowledges Teen Titans Go's flaws without insulting the show's detractors.
I will give a short list of pros and cons for the crossover.
PROS
The Powerpuff Girls are completely focused on stopping Mojo Jojo and aren't stalled or impeded by anything (one complaint I've heard about the new show is that the Girls rarely fight crime and often need to be saved themselves. I'd like to point out that at least the Powerpuff Girls actually mean well, while the Teen Titans are just a bunch of self-centered slackers who don't give a rat's tush about the consequences of their actions).
The Narrator has a more active role, when his appearances in the new show tend to be scarce and contributing little aside from scene transitions and whatnot.
Mojo Jojo is back to his competent and redundantly speaking self.
The Teen Titans get called out on their unheroic ways by not only the Powerpuff Girls, but by the Narrator as well.
CONS
While I'm not really that fond of Teen Titans Go, I was disappointed that Robin, Starfire, and Raven spent the episode acting condescending towards the three young heroines and failed to learn their lesson just because Blossom made the mistake of saying "We couldn't have done it without you". I'm hardly an avid viewer of Teen Titans Go, but I was hoping the crossover would have the Powerpuff Girls teach the Titans to clean up their act.
The only other thing I didn't like about the episode was that Cyborg, Beast Boy, Robin, Raven, and Starfire do not get any comeuppance for their actions, hence why I drew this picture of the Powerpuff Girls scolding the Titans after beating the snot out of them.
I actually think the new Powerpuff Girls show is okay so far. My favorite episodes are The Wrinklegruff Gals (the Powerpuff Girls were pretty funny as old ladies), Bubbles of the Opera, Bye Bye Bellum (I'm as annoyed as everyone else that Ms. Bellum was removed from the show, but I'm satisfied that her send-off was dignified), and Viral Spiral (The Amoeba Boys were in it and the sinister nature of Silico may be just what the new show needs to win over the perfectionist complainers. I'm aware the new show has flaws, but the original wasn't exactly the epitome of perfection either).
And before anyone asks, I've also seen the crossover with Steven Universe and Uncle Grandpa (I've never watched Uncle Grandpa because my interest was soured after I heard the show made a rather mean-spirited jab towards My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, but the crossover with Steven Universe was actually quite funny).
I've also read recently that Cartoon Network is finally acknowledging that having Teen Titans Go air constantly to the detriment of the other shows is only peeving everyone off. With luck, Season 3 may be the show's last.

This is bad on all sorts of levels. I'm really sick and tired of the stupid ass Teen Titans Go hatearts and the brain dead Teen Titans Go haters who blindly and sheepishly hated the show. Don't they see that show MADE FOR KIDS?! It's like the stupid Roman Reigns haters who bashed him and booing him like crap blowing smoke and calling him John Cena 2.0 is a insult to John Cena while calling him Hulk Hogan 2.0 is an insult to Hulk Hogan. I can't stand toxic hatedoms! You better take it down now or else DA is!

...No. Just...no...Teen Titans Go is not that bad of a show. You can flamebait me all you want, but saying Teen Titan Go is the worst cartoon ever is an insult to Teen Titans Go. That title belongs to shows like The Problem Solverz and Secret Mountain Fort Awesome. I'm generally SICK AND TIRED of seeing hate art of Teen Titans Go. PPG '16 might not be any better, but Teen Titans Go really isn't that bad. If you don't agree with it, that's fine, but if you don't like the show, than you can always watch the old one.

TTG has it best moments. It's not that bad. One example of a decent episode of TTG is the Night Begins to Shine episode. I especially liked Teen Titans Go to the Movies, it somewhat felt like the old Teen Titans, because of all the humor and the action.Β Β Β

Teen Titans Go are the True Villains of the cartoon industry, You can't tell me other such shows like ThunderCats Roar was at least inspired due to the financial success of the crappy Teen Titans Go spin-off. Fans say the other are just cheaper cash ins trying to do the same and making Teen Titans Go look somewhat better but really there victims of the wacky, antic filled Spin-off crazy Teen Titans Go invoked on the industry, and Now Even the Teenage mutant Ninja Turtles are screwed over by the type of writing Teen Titans Go Popularized. I just wish Ben 10 and Lion-O were there to help kick there butts harder, maybe a pile driver on Raven form Lion-O and Ben drowns Cyborg with that new water alien he got but Overall This is something that needed to be said, good job dude!

I did intend for TTG Cyborg to be dead in this picture, but Raven lying down with her face away from the viewer was meant to be unconsciousness.
Of course, it's not like these guys haven't been killed off for black comedy before.
This is an old picture and doesn't necessarily represent my current opinion on TTG.

I have never watched original Teen Titans, and i don't like the direction of Teen Titans Go...
But i have watched a review who praised this show for a new kind of insanity.
I say that it's pretty unique, how the show just mocks the original's fans.

It's just that most of the pro-TTG people I've encountered weren't very nice to me, and I've long ago given up on that show improving.

On the bright side, the OK KO crossover nexus was AWESOME, and it even included the classic CN City as its main setting, as well as plenty of classic and 2000s-era Cartoon Cartoons.
