In my quest to catch up on the Power Rangers franchise due to Hasbro's acquisition and me finally overcoming my fear of being seen as a manchild for being interested in the franchise, I've started watching the original Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. As of this writing, I have seen the first 33 episodes.

My original plan was to watch the revised version of the series that aired in 2010 after seeing the first 32 episodes before watching the rest of the original series normally, but I couldn't find anything online other than clips of the opening theme and a petition requesting Shout! Factory to release that version of the show on DVD. Oh, well. At least I'll have one less series to worry about being caught up on.

I intend to watch every Power Rangers show from Mighty Morphin' to Super Ninja Steel, and I'll even watch all of the movies (Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: The Movie, Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, and the 2017 film that reboots the franchise). I'm certain the first Power Rangers show I've seen in my life was Power Rangers in Space, mainly because I have vague memories of the Psycho Rangers and the crossover with Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation (the latter being the only Power Rangers media I've revisited before I started catching up on the series).

For my first piece of Power Rangers fan art, I've chosen to draw Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd watching menacingly over the original team: Jason Lee Scott the original Red Ranger, Zach Taylor the original Black Ranger, Kimberly Ann Hart the original Pink Ranger, Trini Kwan the original Yellow Ranger, Billy Cranston the original Blue Ranger, and Tommy Oliver the original Green Ranger.

I am aware that it may take a while for me to get caught up, but I am assured by the knowledge that the original Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers is the series with the longest number of episodes at 145, when most other shows have lasted 20-50 episodes.
