Where to start?
Let's start with the fact this is a completely different style from you than I have seen in the last little while.
And I like it.

There are grand swooping flows in this piece. Bold colors - deep rich darks and bright highlights.

While I do like the coloring and flow of this piece, I might suggest working on the color speeds, etc, to give a bit more structure and a little less chaos to the overall coloring. I enjoy the rich tones, but the yellow on the right hand side of the piece seems a bit too bright. It doesn't destroy it and is fine, honestly, but I, myself, would have tried to tone it down just a titch if I could have - It may not even be possible given a whole slew of factors you are aware of. It is a very nice contrast to the blue-white it is adjacent to.

I like the composition of the piece, where it focuses, and how it flows out from there.

I certainly would encourage more in this style and look forward to seeing them.
