Kratos from the God of War series, for my friend Ola."I am what the gods have made me!" ~ Kratos, GoW
This piece is a late birthday present for one of my friends. Some of you who know me well enough might be surprised I just drew this guy, he was for a long time on my blacklist, and I never ever draw stuff I have on my blacklist.
Short answer, he got off my blacklist. Longer answer, the reason he got on the blacklist was mostly because of his toxic fanbase, as previously he was neutral to me, not bad, but not really good either (though the GoW games themselves were pretty great, I'll give him that). Since then, the toxicity has mostly moved elsewhere, allowing Kratos to slowly crawl out from the blacklist. Plus, my friend Ola was one of the very few sensible Kratos fans who respected my aversion towards him, hence why I decided to draw this for her once Kratos finally got off the list.
And yeah, I hope it shows that I actually worked hard on this one. Could have settled for a static and less details shot, but wanted to make him properly dynamic and flashy.

And I'd say you nailed this one!!! I love how the actual texture and design of his outfit and weapons fits so well with your style!!! I might have guessed that it'd clash a lot but my goodness, does it ever fit well together!!

I do like the games themselves... just not the character, I do still think Kratos is overhyped... well, OK, at least he was fun to draw with all the details and stuff.
Still, I'm very happy you like it so much ^^ I always do my best to fit every character into my style, and to make every detail stand out properly, and I dare say I got pretty good at it ;3

To me, he kind of represents the game itself. So maybe some of the hype for the game but seems like it's just about the character? That's how it often seems to me anyway

It definitely shows, honey, this position looks really tough although u did manage to maintain the proportions, wich is really nice, and the chains were made in close precision, i really wonder how u do dat. His forearm piece of armor has the zodiac Aries sign; my sign. In his real attire/outfit, does he has the same symbol? I wonder. Since I don't really know, I'm not really interested in the character, but I'll like to know that~ I love how u did all those little "armor" (?) details, and the body marks, and the chains and weapons, also his enraged expression is neat. What a nice present! ~ =**

I really love trying out new dynamic poses, not always nailing it though, so always happy to hear when I did it right ^^
As for the details and chains, while it does require bonus attention and work, I just have a lil' obsession with details (minor case of OCD) so I simply don't feel comfortable without drawing all the details a character had |3

Flames and tattoos... quite the fitting figure to draw in your style. Awesome pose as always. Nice work on the chains too! Especially that top one. I like how it's all flowy-like.
Never been a fan of GoW to be honest. It just doesn't click with me for some reason. But I do like the main character. All that rage and power!

Hehe, yeah, flames and fur are the two things that work best with my style. So I couldn't resist drawing Kratos in a dynamic pose, attacking and throwing dem flames around.
As for the chains, they do have their share of problems when drawing, but usually look great when finished. Glad to hear you approve ^^
And it's kinda the opposite for me. I really like the GoW series, cause I generally love hack 'n' slash games, but the character... heh, he does have power, but that's a given in this sort of genre... but the rage... it's kinda at the point when it's goes from "badass" to "ridiculously meme'ish". Most of his scenes are so over the top you can't help but chuckle instead of being amazed. Plus, he does have scenes where he's a hypocrite asshole or a downright pussy.
