Description Tried a painting approach for this one, and wanted to do a scene that sums up the feel of the Chlorofields world.
It's a brutal jungle world where plants grow quickly and out of control and are always a threat towards choking out any pockets of civilization.

The paint approach sure does lend to the creepier atmosphere, making the world feel more dangerous than what I've previously seen it as. It looks amazing, good job, you always go all in! Love that we can see the different flora repeat in patches around, making it also look more credible. ^^

I've done a ton of world building privately over the years. I still want to keep the cutesy, fun I had in mind originally, but my original vision for Chlorofields was "nature is the bad guy". The world always felt too safe to me before.
I've designed and named a ton of plants for this world though! I even have them organized on a map so that certain plants only appear in certain areas.

The plant life in Chlorofields is supposed to be the star of the show, so it only makes sense to give it some extra attention, right?

Sounds like you've been super busy!! And I love the concept of the bad guy for this story. Will be eagerly awaiting it!

The map and adding what is where, very clever! I might keep this in mind for my own flora. So far, it's only mattered for fauna. ^^

Absolutely! All the extra attention, it deserves! You do landscapes so well, it will be a joy!

Ooo, this looks so cool for a background! Coincidentally, I've been trying out a painting oriented style recently with Krita and my new Wacom drawing tablet. I thought it would be interesting to point that out.

Interesting. So you're going outside of vector then, neat! Does Krita have vector functions for the brush tools like SAI does?
(It kinda seems like PhotoShop is the only art program that doesn't.)

Well, Krita has some vector capability but it seems very limited from what I can tell. You can't even manipulate the strokes you've plotted for tweaking or refinement but this is coming from someone who's new to using Krita so I probably just overlooked the tool/option that allows you to edit the vectors. You can try Krita yourself if you want especially since it is free.
