I had to do a handful of double-takes to comprehend everything going on.
So first I noticed Mellalu is writing with her tail rather than her tiny hands. My first double-take was when I noticed that the candle has a living flame, and that it looks like a bird perching on the candle.
My 2nd double-take was when I noticed the other character snoozing in the background. And then my third was when I noticed the cigarettes on the table. Does Mellalu smoke, or what?

My art looks best in Spring, because it's full of Easter eggs. Heh, that was pretty good......
Oh yeah, Mellalu smokes cigarettes, sleeping guy Lolo occasionally smokes cigars, almost everyone drinks. Chlorofields is sorta like...an adults cartoon that kids might be able to watch haha

Didn't know she was much of a smoker or a drinker, though. Just goes to show that Mellalu's older than she looks in a very subtle way, which is rather neat, even if I'm not into either of those habits myself.
And of course, now I have to ask what kinda questionable fanfiction she writes about the rest of the Chlorofields cast...

Mel is adorable, I just love that expression on her face. I think a city skyline pattern on the candle is an interesting touch, and I really like the flame creature. I really like the shading on little sleeping Lolo. Also, in closing, I would like to say that Lolo's head here vaguely reminds me of those POP! figurines that have been fairly popular as of late.

We all have a schedule we work best under. Some people try to discipline themselves and work in a set time every day (I try to do this myself) but others focus their creative work in times that they know they'll be most creative. These days, I try not to be too judgy about which path a person takes as long as they're creating something ^^

Oh my god, I love this with the hottest of fiery passions. Mellalu is my spirit animal forever, she's just too cute and perfect and I appreciate the representation. I, personally, love not only smoking but drinking as well! I think your use of both was rather bold and shows the character's complexity.

I know smoking an drinking are bad habits but they're not the worst things people can do. Plus it sorta brings out the fact that Mell isn't a child in a sorta shallow way. And shallow isn't a bad thing in illustration though. Concrete symbols and things that are easily recogniseable give immediate mental associations........and....ehh haha ok call me Blathers lol!

It's been quite a while since you've posted inΒ your gallery. How're things? This is a great picture, but I'm going to deduct a very small amount of "points", cause of use of tobacco/cigarettes. I don't like smoking nor use of alcohol when it comes to drawing characters. It leaves a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. However, I don't want this to discourage your creativity. Continue drawing.

Yeah my schedule is kinda unpredictable these days. One week I've got something going on every day, then suddenly I'll have nothing to do or just have low motivation because of sleep issues or anxieties about something (that isn't gonna be an issue anymore thankfully as of last night -mums the word though). How have you been though?
Oh! No yeah I know you don't like tobacco use or alcohol in cartoons. Tbh, your principles about what you will and won't draw is one of my favorite things about you as a cartoonist. I'm glad we can agree to disagree on this detail though c:
