Description
This was supposed to be some portrait drawing practice, but I decided to take a step further and make an illustration out of it. I came up with the idea while messing around with shapes for the background and a little color experimentation.ΒTook around 5.5 hours from start to finish, longer than I expected but thats because I ended up putting more detail in this one than what I normally do for my illustrations.

It was going to be red buttttttt I felt like with all the green in the image that it would create too much focus on her lips. So I chose to go with something a little more neutral

Yea i get what your saying, the red and green combo would have made it all christmasey and stuff. The blue stands out in its own way though

Aaah. For this image I used an original brush of mines (wild and messy, impossible to get straight edges). Most of the time I use downloaded brushes because they work nice or have rich texturing to them since of most of my brushes that I've made tend to be.......crap lol. Anyways yeah, glad you liked this image as its my first one with that brush Β Β
