Description Sometimes I'm not happy with my patterns I like my plushies, but sometimes I see another plush of the same pkmn I made and it looks so much better, much more realistic :/ But as long as I don't see any other plushie I don't mind

Oh yeah, I wasn't too motivated digitalizing this pattern, so it's a bit rough. I tried to be as precise as possible while making this pattern, so the actual thing fits together pretty good. So if the pieces don't fit together (although they should) I could also give you the hand-drawn one (if you can decipher it, of course )

Assembling everything shouldn't be too difficult, just feel free to ask

Plush: Plush

Pt.2: Pattern Pt.2
IMPORTANT: the size of the pattern is DIN A4!

Since it's going to take a while until I can make a tutorial, if I even will, here are instructions on how to assemble everything correctly (or at least so, that it's not completely impossible to sew ) :
1) Sew the body parts on the side together (the side is where the holes are for the arms ans legs).
2) Sew the "leg inner" parts onto the body (It's the inner line, the incomplete hole). Outside on outside; foot in the right direction.
3) Close the gap on the "leg outer" part.
4) Sew the "leg outside" parts onto the inner ones. This step is definitely the most difficult one. For this to work, you need to turn the body through the hole. You know you did it right, when you can pin the outer leg properly onto the inner leg (and on the body - there where's no inner leg available). It's difficult to explain, but just try it a bit, there's only one way this all can work
5) Sew the arms together and then onto the body. This is definitely the second most difficult step. But if you put the (reversed) arm through the hole in the body from the outside, the outside of the arm schould touch the outside of the body and you should see the insides of these two parts. Difficult to explain - again. But since there's only one way this'll work, give it a try.
6) Sew the ears onto the head parts. Whatch out, that you sew them on on the right side. Right means: Take the pattern of the ear with the word "ear" upright and hold it to the "head front" part. Make sure you mark the side which has to be sewn to the heads in some way, so that yuo don't get confused.
7) Sew the "head front" and the "head" back together.
8) Sew the head to the body.
Now we should have two complete halves of mew...
9) Sew the tail together. Like I said - Make the tail a bit broader, because the broader it is, the easier it is to turn around. It is very important, that you leave a hole at the tail tip to do so. Turning the tip trough the tail is next to impossible..
When you're done, stuff it.
10) Put the two halves together, the tail lying in between if you want to sew it on with the sewing machine. Sew everything together leaving a hole somewhere to turn it all around. I left it at the back of the head, you can do it anywhere else you want, though.
11) Turn everything around, stuff it and close up the holes - and you're done

Please give me the credit when using my pattern, thanks~

Ooh, nice! Mew is one of my favorites! ^_^

When you say it "fits together", you mean you didn't add seam allowance, right? Perfect! I always find it more useful to know where to sew.

Your gonna make a more 'mew-like' one? Have you put it up yet? I really love Mew... And I really want a Mew plush to wake up beside me in my bed... ^u^

I'm so busy right now in the laboratory, that I don't really have the time to sew, sadly :/ and I seriously need to start with a few other plushies first :'D so it'll take quite aaaaa bit of time until I'm going to make mew 3.0

The tail does look hard to turn inside-out... it's really skinny. I'll probably end up turning it through the large end & attaching it to the rest of the plush. I've done ears that way before.

Jup..that's what I did too but it needs to be a bit broader nonetheless, otherwise it'll be next to impossible it took mr quite a while to turn that around..
I really wish there would be another way :/

if you use fleece the fabric stretches out and I find it a lot easier to turn the matirial around with fleece also what I do is I scrunch up the tail until the tip and the bottom are touching and then I turned it inside out that way it's much easier I will show some pics of what I mean later

Maybe a firm, stretchy material, like Spandex? I had good luck with that when I made a velociraptor a while back. Texture might be a problem, though.

The problem is, you can't really get fabric like that where I live (although it's more like..I need to drive to a bigger city like 2h away..)
I mean you can get tons of different fabrics here, but never the one you need :/
But I'm going to order different fabrics from the internet soon, because I'm fed up with fleece..I want to make a nice, proper plushie once.. So maybe I'll find sth like that..

Where plushies are concerned, I've heard good things about minky. It's a really soft, short faux fur. I'm not sure how stretchy it is, though, and I personally don't like working with fabrics with naps. It's also more expensive than what I usually use.

Usually I use cotton or flannel fabric. Flannel is soft, sturdy, and a bit thicker than cotton. It's nowhere near as thick as fleece, and it's not too expensive, so it's good for testing patterns out.

I also like pleather & imitation suede, if I can get it on sale - it's nice and sturdy.

I prefer fabrics that don't fray because I tend to use really thin seam allowance. I probably shouldn't do that, LOL.

Also, a tip for cutting faux fur, if you decide to go that route - cut from the back with a box cutter or scalpel, not with scissors. It makes less of a mess.

yeah, that's exactly what I want to try, but can't buy anywhere except in the internet Because it's expensive, I also want to make a pattern first with which I'm completely happy..

flanell isn't an option either, sadly, because it's way too expensive, but it may be a bit softer than fleece.. I'm not sure right now
And I think I'll stay with the "regular" fabrics for a while I don't trust myself when working with pleather or imitation suede

haha, yeah..*cough* not enogh seam allowance.. totally don't know what you're talking about *cough*

aaah...that's right..how could I forget about that!!! Maybe it's because I'm not thinking much while sewing..yeah, that's it. Or my lazyness. I prefer getting all that fak fur in my lungs before going down in the workshop and get a cutter..

I get most of my fabrics from the Remnants bins; they run 20-50% off, depending on the store. You can't guarantee finding what you want, though

If you want reeeeally cheap fabric, I'd suggest searching antique stores. Sometimes they have baskets of random fabric from people clearing out their stashes. Again, though, you can't guarantee you'll find what you want.

Good idea! Maybe show her some of the patterns you want to use; maybe she can recommend specific fabrics. My grandparents usually like to be asked about stuff like that.
