Description

It was peaceful morning at Sakura and March’s house, the two lovers happily sharing a breakfast. They had quite enjoyed their Heartkindle so far, it had been a nice and peaceful month. Sakura finished her cup of tea, before brushing off her lap and standing up. She smiled at March as she walked past, leaning over to give the grey quad a quick boop on the forehead. She cleaned up the dishes and put them in the sink, deciding she could wash them later. She walked over to the nursery room a few doors down, where their lovely pink egg lay safely nestled in a warm, fluffy blanket. She gave it a loving smile and pet the smooth surface, feeling the warm shell under her claws. She turned and started to rearrange the various items on the shelf, her plumed tail flicking across the ground. The shelves were filled with books, toys and other objects, and a mobile strung with little light-up lumibugs hung from a crib in the corner of the room.

A small light at the edge of her vision suddenly caught her attention, and she turned to see the egg starting to glow red, starting to shake slightly. The pink biped gasped and dashed over to the egg, a huge smile breaking over her face when she realized what was happening. “March, come quick! The egg is starting to hatch!” She called through the house, her wings fluttering with excitement. She instantly heard a “Really?!” From the kitchen and the thumping of him running over. He practically skidded into the nursery, his face bright with delight. The two soon-to-be-parents huddled closer to each other, watching the rocking pink egg with wide eyes.

The warm glow slowly grew brighter, and the rocking growing stronger. Cracks started to appear over the shell, small at first but rapidly growing in size. The two watched in silent awe for a while, eager to watch every second of the precious experience. The cracks widened, and tiny red-tipped paws started to curl through the openings. Sakura gave a surprised chuckle when a tiny horn suddenly jabbed through the egg shell. A few moments later, the top part of the shell came off, but the shell was still impaled on the tiny pink horn. March laughed and plucked the piece of egg shell off the newly hatched Wynling’s head. The little pink baby gave a tiny sneeze and shook his head, before opening big, amethyst purple eyes and looking up at the two adults before him.

Sakura cooed in delight, leaning forward to pick up her new Wynling. He seemed so tiny in her arms. She moved over to March, the proud dad smiling at his baby. The little Wynling his eyes, bright inquisitive purple eyes that already held a great desire for adventure. Sakura sat back and held up the Wynling. Her colors and March’s eyes. The hatchling stared right into his mother’s sky blue eyes curiously. Sakura felt tears prick at her eyes, and was afraid she’d start crying out of pure happiness right then and there. She spread her wings, giggling as the Wynling did the same with his own nubby little wings. “Welcome to the world my little Valentine.” She whispered, kissing her son’s forehead and cuddling him to her chest. Valentine gave a happy sounding chirp, yawning and nuzzling into Sakura’s fur. “He’s prefect.” March said softly, hugging and gently snoot booping his mate. Sakura nodded and rested her head on the quad’s shoulder, lifting Valentine up to let him curl up in her pouch. The three sat there for a long time, simply enjoying the miracle of a new life. For in that moment, everything was perfect.

My girl has gotten so big <3

Yesssss baby has finally hatched! After literally getting approved back in November, Val has officially hatched. I can't wait to start drawing this guy!
