Quirks: Taps his hooves when thoughtful, wings flutter when nervous, stands very straight with his hands clasped together over his stomach, does not understand sarcasm, extremely literal, extraordinary memory, voice is monotone, doesn’t use grammar contractions, almost never keeps eye contact, hates the color yellow, always has obvious eye bags due to his insomnia, knows sign language

Attitude: Blunt, tactless, curious, thoughtful, intelligent, awkward
Personality: Wilde can often come across as distant or rude due his strange habits, but he really doesn’t mean to. He is extremely curious, always wishing to learn more about the world around him and those things (or people) he finds interesting. He speaks in a rather flat and monotone voice, and has a hard time fixing it. He is very blunt and matter-of-fact, tactless in a way that he often unintentionally offends or hurts someone. He is introverted and dislikes social interaction, and his tone and body language usually leads to awkwardness. He has a problem with eye contact, and will stare anywhere other than someone’s face while talking, even if they are important or high-ranking. He has a very hard time understanding emotions and “reading the room”, which often leads to him making a situation worse by stating something that was just being implied shouldn’t be said. He also does not get sarcasm or jokes, taking everything very literally and often becoming either the butt of the joke or extremely confused. He does make a good doctor, though, knowing the name and use of every herb or plant by heart and being skilled with patching up wounds and splinting.

When he needs to be stealthy, say on the rare occasion he’s out on some kind of mission, he wraps his hooves with cloth to make his steps more quiet. It is easy to tell when he is approaching if he doesn’t do this, and he is easy to find around the Saynamo manor if you listen and follow the clip-clop of his hoofsteps. He’s also a poor swimmer due to his fur and hooves, and generally avoids water. He can just fly over obstacles like rivers, but doesn’t usually swim in pools or the lake either due to how long his fur takes to dry.

History: Wilde was raised by parents who didn’t care at all about him. They hated him for his strangeness and would constantly berate him for odd quirks and mistakes. They’d physically, verbally and mentally abuse him, leaving him with bruises and cruel words beaten into his heart and head. He never understood what he was doing wrong, and everyone would end up frustrated. His parents would just punish him for his meltdowns, so he quickly learned it was better to just stay silent and keep to himself. Eventually, when his parents couldn’t stand him anymore, they abandoned him at the Nook and never looked back. He constantly got picked on there too, but he adored the library and would read any book he could get his paws on. He did often amaze the other Nooklings with his uncanny ability to remember anything he reads, able to recite entire passages from a random book. He’s always loved medical things, and quickly finished all the books on healing plants and medical procedures. He loved to hang around Dr. F and learn things from him, and spent the majority of the Deelaplague helping the sick. These skills would come in handy when he would eventually join the Saynamo family, using his knowledge and expertise to help with the dangers being a mobster brings.

Family: The only family he had abused and abandoned him, and he doesn’t have any contact with them.
Friends: Acts a bit more relaxed, talking more freely and sometimes even using eye contact.
Enemies: Tries to avoid them as best he can, doesn’t like confrontation.
Neutral feelings: Doesn’t like interaction, so usually keeps talking to a minimum with brief hellos at meeting.

Doing business: Acts quickly and effectively. Not liking interaction, he likes to get things over with as fast as possible. This is usually patching up and injury or giving more healing herbs.
Meeting strangers: Will act polite and try not to be awkward, saying or doing what is needed.
Meeting kids: Tends to not like kids for damaging his things and being loud and messy, but is polite and has a hard time using smaller words that kids can understand.
Greeting friends: Will smile and say hello. Doesn’t have too many friends, but he’s pretty close with the few he does have.
Greeting enemies: Will either stay silent or give a curt hello.
Greeting family: N/A, no contact with blood relatives.
Being touched: Hates being touched, even by friends. Will usually shrug or move to get their hand off, might snap and push them away if he gets particularly uncomfortable.
Being insulted: Won’t really react, it’s something he’s very used to. He’ll just sit and wait unil their done before trying to get away.
Being complimented: Will be a little surprised, but will give a simple thank you.

Wilde’s design is done for a while! I love his outfit, he looks classy with the doctor coat. There’s a Saynamo family logo on the pockets on each side. He’s average height, but is a bit underweight. His eyes glow either at will, in the dark, or from strong emotions. He keeps herbs, salves and bandages in his belt pouches.
