I saw the trailer for Tangled a week or so ago and I absolutely loved it. If the rest of the movie is even remotely like the trailer I can tell you right now I will be falling out of my theatre seat with raucious laughter. It looks hysterical.Hah and my fav character already? The horse. Hands down.
Oh yea, about my dev. I've never really gotten the urge to draw a 3D character before now. Something about the expressions caught my fancy and I just had to sketch them out. It was really interesting and quite fun drawing 3D characters in a 2D style. It's not as easy as it looks actually. 3D characters have a much different appearance when transferred to a flat drawing and its challenging to stay on model while trying to keep the drawing from looking odd.
And if you haven't seen the trailer yet, shame on you. I strongly suggest you vamoose to youtube ASAP! GO do it nooooow!

I love all of your Disney drawings! And, this one is absolutely spot-on, great work! And I think Maximum is my favorite Tangled character too, or Pascal.
Just wondering, since you seem to really like pirates and Disney....have you seen Treasure Planet? It's not a very popular Disney movie, don't know why, but it's my absolute favorite...

One thing. I know it's all Glen Keane's and I LOVE Glen Keane, but.. didn't Flynn remind you of a mixture of Tulio and Miguel? Doesn't the horse resemble Altivo?? To me, it totally looks dreamworks', but I don't know.

IāM SO EXCITED! When trailers of Princess and Frog came on, I was obsessed with it. Now, Tangled is my love. For a long time, I just found random stuff on the net about RAPUNZEL. I was interested but not really excited. There wasn't really anything on youTUBE except concept art. There was a teaser trailer on some dvd but I can't recall the title and it just tortured me that there was still little info on it. Finally, when on Disney channel they talked about a sneak peek and showed about two seconds of the film, I squeled. I immediately got on youTUBE because I knew if they had video on t.v., there must already be more on the net. I stared in awe as the official trailer came on the computer screen. I found out just before the new trailer that they changed the title to TANGLED. At first, i thought it was so dumb espeically when i found on Wikipedia why they did. But now, the title has grown on me and I really like it now. I just hope Disney doesn't forget about girls to bring in more boy audience and I don't care that it's CGI as long as Disney doesn't stop doing hand drawn movies in the near future and beyond. I can't wait to see TANGLED in the theaters, buy the songs, and get TANGLED on blu-ray! Rapunzel looks beautiful and Flynn is SO CUTE **SIGHH**

I was actually a bit disappointed by the trailer in a few ways, but I'm holding any judgement until I actually see the film. I've heard from a few folks who've seen preview screenings that the trailer's a bit misleading, re: how the film actually is, which I'm honestly glad for, hah.
ANYWAY, I love the sketches; you did a great job keeping them on model. I think the one on the top right is my favorite. :]

For drawing 3D characters in 2D you did a great job!! I'm really interested in the animation for this movie cuz I keep hearing that they were trying to make it like... 3D in 2D style, give it the same movements and same way it flows or something like that. I kinda do see it in the trailer... And these drawings look just like the 3D models, maybe they were designed to look more like drawings, you know?
I can't wait for it to come out...
