Description
title's sort of misleading. it was a self portrait assignment where we had to be in costume. i originally did a simpler woodsman picture but didn't know how to finish it and it wasn't much fun to do. this was much more fun.our assigned materials were black & white watercolor and black & white charcoal on orange canson paper.
only SLIGHTLY inspired by bauer's gorgeous trolls :]
KEPT THE BOWLCUT. BECAUSE IT IS THE MOST TERRIFYING HAIRSTYLE EVER.

I'm confused! This looks like a female person to me, yet there is another selfportrait in your scrapbook in which you have a Beard!

Wow! Totally different than your usual subject matter! I love what you do, but it's great to see you put your beautiful style onto something different.
Somehow it is terrifying and funny at the same time... You did it excellently though!

Haha, those hands are amazing! The big fur coat kind of reminds me of a '70s glam rocker that has gotten lost in the wilderness. I'm pretty sure that's not what you were going for but.. that's just how my mind works.
Also, the fact that you only had black and white ink and charcoal makes you even more hardcore. This is awesome!

You're a creepy bitch and I love you for it <3
The washes that give the illusion of separate tones are amazing, definitely a challenge.
Bowlcuts are surprisingly hard to pull off. Without looking like a lower middle class little boy who lets his mom cut his hair.

Only using black and white on the orange paper the way you did and being able create all the different tones is amazing. The position and facial features and expression along with the 'terrifying' bowl cut hair-style are terrific. I love the background and just.. All of it! It's a truely magnificent piece <3

Nosferatu will come after our children in the night!
Truly terrifying bowlcut. XD
Everything has a very aged feel to it. The hazy, dark background, the garb, the gaunt figure, all give the subject matter the illusion of being based off an old estate somewhere long forgotten or neglected.

I think its absolutely amazing that you created the illusion of multiple colors being in use, when in reality you were really working with three. Simply amazing. I've got the jealousy. I know a challenge like that would =FAIL on my part. Freaking brilliant.

Ooh my, this is certainly different! (In the good manner of differentology)
I love the claw-like way the hands are held, and infront of a slightly parted mouth to emphasise the expression of shock/disgust/suspicion... like "NO! The cutsey rabbits... get them away!(or there'll be more bone necklaces to be made)"
I adore the outfit and the shading of the skintone here! Masterfully done m'lady :3
