Description
I feel kinda bad for plaguing people with these, but hey. I'll get over it.'Bout an hours worth of work. Finally figured out a way to transfer sketches on to feathers. And I'm a total dolt for not doing it this way before.
Buuuut in case you live under a rock... this is a bald eagle.
Painted with acrylics on a real peacock wing feather.
Enjoy!

Haha I paint. Brainstorm a little bit, though usually ideas like this just sorta "come to me".
Then I just paint.

Seeing you paint on all these feathers sure does make me want to try it. I will have to see if I can track down a fitting feather for the canvas.
This is wonderful, your anatomy with so many various animals is quite enviable. The eye is beautiful, I love the shine in it. The beak is gorgeous, I love the actual mouth/lip area of it. The details in the feathers are wonderful as well. Lovely job!

You should paint on a feather!
Its a neat process actually. There are certain things that you cannot do on a feather, like use very diluted paint. Just does not work.

Even though I see wild baldies everyday, I never get tired of them. Beautiful birds and a lovely painting!
