Finally got around to doing some artwork, been swamped with school.Have you ever had a piece of artwork that seems to hit a peak halfway through, so still very much unfinished, and appeals to you much more than the final piece? This is one of those. Not sure why, but I love the way one of my progress photos looks.

In the sketching process there's usually a lot of speed and therefor movement and life in a piece. "Finishing" it could actually kill that process.
I don't really feel that way aboutΒ this piece, though it does look a bit over detailed to me with all the strands of hair on the back/neck, but I can still see the materials you used shine through. I like that part.
I usually love the sketching part most too, sometimes what comes after it feels too much like "production", than creativity. In return I love to see other people's "handwriting" in their drawings too.
Know when to quit.

I still can't put my finger on what I am drawn towards in the progress, I feel like its just a personal thing. C:
