I hope a lot of you guys recognize him. Those of you familiar with the rock/grunge world anyway.The famous Kurt Cobain, lead of Nirvana.
This is another art class assignment, we had to do a portrait for a final assignment. I'm not used to depicting humans through art so I was a little wary, but I love how this turned out. Referenced from a very popular photo of him, I'm one of many who have used it.
Done completely with pastels on a light gray velour sheet of paper. I love using this medium.

I've never heard any Nirvana songs, but I've heard it's badass music.
I love the shape of his face and how you did the facial hair. I like the light in his eyes and how the colors suit the emotion you're potraying.
I think the nose is off, though. It should be lower, I think.
