Description
Testing out a dip pen for the first time. Totally in love.But I keep scratching the pen the wrong way, and it splatters on my page. Which I guess actually looks pretty awesome.
I'm having a really hard time telling if I'm still drunk from last night or not

I LOVE THIS.
The finished drawing is nice too, but as far as "speaking to the soul" goes, this hits it on the head for me. Barn owls mean lots to me to begin with... but the blank eyes really seal it.
THAT is what I feel like when my life hits crisis. This is brilliant. Thanks so much for sharing it before it was done.

Very creepy, but very awesome. The empty eyes just make the pen marks look richer and darker. Can't wait to see the finalized work!

I have that dreaded habit of leaving the eyes for last haha, almost all of my past work-in-progress pieces have glaring blank white eyes

I believe it's a Speedball. I just bought the pen holder and 2 fine nibs, bottle of ink I had at home already.
