Well I have only tried to draw abs once or twice before.Β They were ok, but not that good.Β This gives some very helpful guidelines to follow.Β Β I will be sure to try this soon!

This is a really good and simple tutorial. Been trying my own ways of drawing in both 2D and 3D programs with many failures. Hopefully your mention from DA on Facebook has raised your self-esteem, because this has both charm and effort to it.

3D programs are hard, I end up making everything to flat because I'm used to making 2D look 3D that when I try 3D it turns out.... not quite the same....
O_o I was mentioned on facebook???? this is news to me.... but it would explain all these notes in my inbox.
; ///; thanks, it does make me feel a little better about my drawings, and hopefully I can keep it up!

Lol thanks tho! I do appreciate you replying!!!Β
It's difficult because this was just a really quick reply to a friend of mine and I never could have imagined this exploding like it did. If anything I hope people can break down the body easier. Like you I used to heavily draw "this connect to this and that goes there x distance from y" and I found that I'd end up over complicating before I even roughed out a figure!!! I hope ppl will be able to "plot"?? Out what they want, but also take the extra step to then look up the correct anatomy and add that to the break down
Thanks again!!!

You're welcome.Β
I always found drawing anime tested and assisted my 'invisible map' of proportions when there are no connecting details to follow from one point to the next, but rather a gap to jump. If that even makes sense. There's different types of artists and plenty of them will definitely benefit from tutorials like yours. I'm still learning of course. Β
