This is amazingly smooth - how do you reduce grain in Chaotica? I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out the settings... even after leaving my latest to keep rendering overnight it still looks exactly as grainy as it did when I went to bed, in fact it hasn't changed at all if the screenshot I took before I left it is to be believed, and it should have updated itself at least twice since then.

which version of chaotica are you using? is it a very deep zoom (low efficiency %)?
i generally leave renders until SL 10-14 (i know that's a pretty broad range, but it depends strongly on the params)

Ah, never mind, don't worry about it... it's just that my computer is crappy, apparently. I redid the screencap-to-make-sure and there actually was a difference, if only slight. Tough to know what I'm doing when I can't find documentation on what all the settings are and the gist of how it works as a rendering engine anyway... does decreasing the stopping SL make rendering go faster? I imagine if there are portions of the image that are much less dense than other portions I would also want a higher stopping SL, right?
