Description
some notes:1. protective goggles recommended for fullview
2. absolutely no postprocessing
3. based on a less infernal version which will appear on fractographer.com once the gallery is up
---> this is from my own c++, NOT apo

WOW!
That's another very fiery (yet, also earthy) render!
could be apocalypse, in some way
That other pic, you linked to, would indeed also give a great fractal!

Very interesting fractal for sure. I like the colors and the flow/composition. The detail is nice because it looks so clean (almost vectorish), not thready like Apophysis renders.
P.S. You might get more fullviews if the fullview wasn't over five megabytes... The detail needs to be preserved of course, but I still think you could use JPEG with very high quality.

most appreciated
i guess you're right about the fullview/filesize thing, however since i submitted this i realised that don't really mind so much how people view it, or if they do at all. jpeging these pixels that are created with love and care just isn't my style (same goes for watermarks), and it's kinda important to me that people see it "as i intended it". i also realised that lamenting about it is lame; i'm definitely in some kind of minority, like those annoying audiophile/vacuum tube types, and so can't expect people to bend over backwards

The centre of the image does remind me of the surface of the sun, cool.

thanks one day i want to simulate the magnetically-induced arcs... something like [link]

That would make an interesting fractal.

I like this. Its crazy, lots to see. The middle really looks like fire too. I had an idea similar to arbzervor's, but more general... a club for those on DA that use math to make images. Well, I mean, that actually have to do math, not just use apo or UF with no math knowledge. But do I want to run a club? I dunno. And I'm not a mathematician either, I know a little, that's all.

yeah that's quite a cool idea fractals are only part of the wonderful mathematical spectrum. but agreed, running a club is probably more responsibility than one can casually handle, needs dedication (== time)...
thanks for the nice comment btw, it's particularly appreciated because some 10 years ago i first started experimenting with the canonical 2d fire effect in qbasic needless to say, this version is a lot better, hehehe

indeed, i'm busy crying straight into a bucket about the view-to-fullview ratio i can almost hear everyone thinking... "oh noes, another apo render... i've already seen 10 today..." *next*
anyway, thanks, glad you finally see the finished render

lol. yea apophysis got nothign on this mofo. its sad that no one fullviews anymore. maybe they should make a whole new section on deviantart for self programmed fractal renderers and renders. that would be cool. cus then at least ppl would be able to appreciate the work that goes into your and other peoples fractal works.

it's kinda my own fault- i should only release things that look absolutely *nothing* like flames (no glow, nothing flat, shadowing). even this image doesn't look so 3d after the glow, and there's tangled webs just going everywhere... mouth of chaos was a bit better off for exactly that reason i think.
i was considering making an account/club for the purpose you mentioned, but... still no one would notice/care/etc :/
in any case, something this silly isn't going to preclude a lifelong obsession with making fractals
