This is so busy and full of motion for me, it's such a joy to look at. Congrats on nine years at DeviantArt, and your DD!

I love the textural feel of this piece! There's a dark beauty to the coloring.

thanks mate
hey i actually wanted to send you a note earlier today, begging for help with some 3d fractal DE. basically i can't get any DEs working except for the simple stuff on IQ's page:Β www.iquilezles.org/www/articleβ¦
is there any place with actual working example code i can study? thanks so much

I am sorry but I can not really help you (never understood it really!) , Β except for a precious tip;
you should get "Fragmentarium", that is a fractal program for CUDA-enabled pcs
Even if you haven't got CUDA, there are loads of examples of DE algos that can be used to get a DE in a c++ like language !
syntopia.github.io/Fragmentari⦠<- link!
Knighty scripts are mind-blowing
Also Syntopia is a very kind person that can explain many things
See if this can help

thanks very much the colours are the most "designed" part of the fractal, most of the structure was completely random when i started chaotica!

looks like your looking up at some tree branches.

trees are among the best examples of fractals in nature

That makes sense they do look similar to Fractals ^^

What a lovely dense complex piece. I lve the look of the filaments running and curling all over the place.

it would probably be really awesome at higher resolution i should re-render this and/or include it as a chaotica example..

thank you very much, this is basically a tweaked chaotica random, so there's limited "styling" (mostly colouring) by me... then again, i did program it to make these randoms so..
