THINKING about the symbolism in the picture....it shows quite some emotional impact...
Taking things a stitch at a time must be difficult...must take alot of patience, a virtue i cant get my head around after all these years...your other pictures in your gallery are very skillful too like to see more.

Stirring piece. Been there...done that, trying to put the pieces of my life together. You express it well, the cold, emptiness and the struggle to patch it all up again.

the only crit I have, is that her hands are a bit too small.
Everything else looks marvelous in my opinion.

It's not that bad.
I have just learned the rule, that a hand is similar to the size of chin to hair line.
Maybe that helps.

Wow.... this picture just oozes symbolism...vivid and subtle... like the patchwork skin trying to rebuild life after experiencing a traumatic ordeal, to the snow (as you described above). Also the scene in which she sits, with broken walls and cold floors, almost hostile and unforgiving (even though its just a bare room.. its what i got from it anyway :S)

^-^ Definitely creepy, it makes sense.... but it hit on my phobia so no comments from me this time....
Ignoring the needle, it's beautiful(in an eerie, disturbing fashion), and makes me want to get out the glue, even if glue doesn't hold that well.... 
The face in shadows, focused on their work is the best part for me, it shows focus and a quiet determination.
It's snowing outside, also, it looks like. A reflection on the character's outer mask? Or something else?
