I recently moved and had to leave my old DND group behind, which is rather bittersweet. I’ll miss roleplaying with them, and I’m planning on turning Aisling into an actual OC too instead of just my dnd character, but at the same time, I get to play Ilia WITHOUT Aisling dying!

I did need to revamp her for this campaign, since our DM isn’t using homebrew content, and I also needed to make it so she fit into the Critical Role universe, since that’s where our campaign takes place! So I ended up making her a drow grave cleric instead of a mark of shadows elf life cleric, which I feel fits who I wanted her to be better than a life cleric does. She’s a priestess of the Raven Queen, and wears a porcelain mask like the one her deity wears to hide her face, and wears a mix of a cloak, gloves, long sleeves, pants and even bandages to hide the rest of her natural skin color, to avoid being persecuted for being a drow. Also, she isn’t mute anymore: I’m trying out so many new things that I figured I shouldn’t make things harder for myself.

I’m super excited to role play her for the first time on Friday! She (and I) are the only gals in a group of guys, and she’s gonna be a cleric in a party consisting of her, a fighter, a Druid, a sorcerer and a barbarian. I’ll let you guys know how it goes!
