Alive in Wonderland is a series of photographs that depict the world of Alice in Wonderland with a much darker twist. Featuring ten characters from the famous tale, we follow Alice as she visits once familiar acquaintances.

Good day my darlings,

A lot of you have been asking what I've been up to, and this is it. I recently graduated from University with my Film Degree...this side project was created with several colleagues of mine as part of a 'let us see what we can accomplish now that we have an education'. Working with East Hollywood Pictures, I collaborated, created, dreamed, designed and executed a three day 'Alive in Wonderland' photo shoot.

This was no easy task, we spent weeks prepping and painting and building. A castle wall was erected in a backyard...tables were built from scratch, chairs built from scratch...woodland areas were cleared of debris and dressed.

My part in this shoot was to act as an interpreter for our wonderful Photographer (having a background in film making and SFX makeup/costuming), Shriyantha Wimalasekera. I helped him create sketches and character references...found clothing and props...and when the big day finally came...I applied makeup and dressed every single character shown. It was an ENORMOUS task and sometimes it felt overwhelming....but the images speak for themselves.
