AYO I did another one of those pause challenge things cuz I do em whenever I'm not feeling super creative- I've been calling them Character Design Challenges :3
First I did a Poisen Dude,
Then a Dragon Girl,
Then a Scorpion Chick,
and now a Bug Boy. neat.

Anyways, if you wanna hear some random things 'bout this guy/thought then continue :3

First off, ==========What I Got: ======================
-Guy
-Dark skin
-Blue eyes
-Sparkle pupils
-That hair style
-I'll talk about the hair color in a minute just a sec
-Squinty eyes for a personality trait/thing
-Any kind of bug for the race/blend thing

Next, ============Though/Design Process ===================
Hm. Ok, well, let's figure out the bug I wanna go with. The pic looks like a bee but I don't wanna do that cuz I already did a black and yellow themes character [Dragon Girl] soI should figure that out.
Oke Google, what's a bug with blue eyes
Google: "Evania Appendigastor; also known as the strikingly blue-eyed ensign wasp"
Me: oooh, oke oke I can work with that.
So I then decided to do a tiny bit of research from Google and it's Wikipedia page to take some notes so I could start blocking in what I want this guy to be like.
-One, he's a bug thing, so I thought warmish clothes
-The thing didn't say anything about what other colors to use, so I'll go full Bluey color pallette and maybe that'll help him look cute and not quite as freaky
-I'll give him four arms, and make 'em way more spindly than my normal style, and add those bug-spikey things like in A Monster in Paris to make a good blend of human-and-buggo libs.
-I'll give him those long legs tho and make 'em look almost nothin' like a hooman
-He'll have buggish eyes, a very flat small nose, a more angular but still round shape to his face, anntennae, and fangs, not pincers, because I tried for a while and I couldn't make 'em work sorry D:
-I'll also work with shape language; I want him to have a similar sillhouwette to the bug/ I have the head and spindly limbs, so I need to make his body small and do something to make it puffy or someth- OOH. ONE OF THOSE puffy jacket-vest things!! AND some too-big-for-him shorts, to make his legs look EVEN SPINDLY-ER mwhahaha
-And since I don't really have him with pincers, I decided to try and give a simmilar look by putting some of his hair close to his face, along withe puffer jacket vest thing up close to him too, though I don't think it worked quite as well as I hoped.

k and then, the buggo eats cockroaches eggs and is a parasite, so.......hm. OOH howabout his favorite food's fried eggs, and he's a very touchy/clingy person? eh? perhaps?

so yeah. He's my little touchy-loud-blue-freaky-but-cute-bugg-boy. There ya go.

also tho, I cheated.
I'M SORRY BUT ONE SINGLE THING JUST WOULDN'T WORK WITH THE REST SO I TOOK IT OUT TOT
So the original prompt that I got also had a hair color, and it put it as a dark green. Which, to be fairish, I did try, and was partway through coloring it, when I finally steppes back and looked at it and went; "Yeah, I really do hate that." so I changed that to a dark blue, but BRO I DID EVERYTHING ELSE OKE?!?! ;w;

In the end, anatomocally, his design makes 0% sense. How are the other arms attatched? There is no way he could actually walk with those legs. His eyes make no sense either, and where are his wings?? If I was to ever draw him again, I'd give him wings, make the pincer illusion for prominent, and prolly give him a small round black backpack to replicate the back end of the bug.

Hah, no idea. He's like the Scorpion Chick; no plot, no story, no world, just concepts and vibes, thank you. I mean him and her both have weird animal characteristics and have a modern style, so maybe their' in the same universe or something, but really I don't know, man.
