I’ve been going through my tubs of ‘keeper figures’ to try and clean things out a little bit, sell some or turn some into fodder and I had this Spawn figure I thought would be fun to work it. After some thought, I decided he would make a great version of a Predator X because of his size and build.
I’ve looked at different picture of X’s and they range from serpentine, to alligatorish to almost dog-like, so I tried to capture a combo of the serpentine and alligator look here.

No real sculpting, most of the work was in trimming parts of the body as well as adding and blending new parts.

I removed the chains that were on the original figure and started by cutting off pieces on the figure. A lot of random spikes were removed and the head was greatly trimmed down and then sanded fairly smooth for the paint job. Next, the head got a few more small spikes added just to give him some more depth.

The tail was from a broken Alien 3 figure-I pulled the figure out of a loooong storage…and it disintegrated in my hands. Bummer, but I did salvage the parts. It was hooked onto the pain body and the way it’s built, it’s flexible and can be bent in whatever way the owner wants.

Finally, the whole thing was repainted and sprayed with sealer.
